Chapter VI

The Celebration

Friday, the fifth of December, two thousand twenty-six

A long candlelit dinner table set under warm stone arches at dusk

The ceremony is short and the evening is long. What happens in between is the part we have been imagining for a year: a table that does not end, music that gets louder as the night gets softer, and every person we love in one place at one time.

The ceremony

3:00 pm

The church in Girardot. Please be seated by a quarter to three.

The celebration

5:00 pm

Hotel Tocarema. Cocktails first, dinner after, dancing until late.

Dress

Formal attire

Please dress to impress. Girardot is warm even at night, so choose light fabrics, but keep it elegant.

One small note

Please, no white

We'd love our female guests to avoid white; Alejandra will be wearing it. And bring a second pair of shoes: there is stone, grass, and a great deal of dancing.

Speaking

If you'd like to say a few words

We're keeping speeches to two minutes each. Sign your name below and we'll gather every request and set the order closer to the date.

The little ones

The day itself is adults only

We've arranged care for children so their parents can dance. Please let us know in advance when you reply so we can plan properly.

Music

Help us build the playlist

Send us the songs that will get you out of your chair. Add one below and it goes on the list.

Gifts

Your presence is the gift

If you'd like to give something anyway, we appreciate your generosity. Cash gifts are preferred and make our planning easier; Zelle or Cash App are easiest.
